Google Presentations is like Powerpoint, only simplified. Click here to see how to find and use anything and everything in Google Presentations, from backgrounds to transitions to templates. Don’t close that tab – it will be a lifeline to you!

You will be creating a new presentation based on your survey that you created last week. The good news? Most of the hard work has been done for you! When your classmates responded to your survey, you know that the information went into a spreadsheet for you to look at. What also happened was that it created a summary of your responses for you to see. For example, click here to see the summary of responses for the survey you took for me. To get to this page from your survey, you will need to open the "Responses" page that was created. Then, click the “Form” option on your spreadsheet, followed by the option that says “Show Summary of Responses.” Yay for instant graphs and easy to see data!

Once you have your data, you are ready to create your presentation based on your survey responses. The presentation must be done in Google Presentations. Here are the requirements:
  • Your slideshow should be at least 10 slides long (your title slide does count as one). If you only have 6 questions – that means you are going to have to be creative!
  • Each slide needs transitions/effects.
  • The slideshow should have either a template or a background attached. Click the link to see how to do so.
  • Include pictures on MOST of the slides and definitely your name!
  • You should include at least one graph from your responses. However, your entire slide cannot be just a graph. Use some comments about the graph ("I did not expect this many people to choose pizza") if you need to put more words on the slide.
  • If you have a large number of questions, you do not have to include each one. If you have less than 10, you do have to include them all.

If you are stuck for ideas, think about things like why you asked the questions you did, what responses you would have used, and what you thought the class would answer. Here is an example from last semester.

When you finish set your presentation to public and open it as a presentation. When it is open as full screen, copy that link and add your presentation to the sharing page!
